QW 061212 “Feedback from Teacher 0611”

Yesterday’s Daily article of my online English speaking class was on the 2012 Olympics in London: “British Government Assures Olympics Security”
http://rarejobdailynewsarticle.blogspot.jp/2012/06/british-government-assures-olympics.html?spref=tw

We didn’t have enough time for going over the article as designed. I read it aloud once and the teacher gave me feedback and comments on my speech. The following is the area I need to improve.

1) measure: It should sound as [meʒər], not [meyʒər]
2) military: It should sound as [miləteri], not [milətæri]
3) deployment: I pronounced it almost as [diplɔmənt], not as [diplɔimənt]
4) helicopter: I should’ve had more distinct Italian A in [heləkaptə]
5) Greenwich: It should sound precisely as [greniʈʃ] with the silent “w”

As the teacher suggested, I haven’t fully mastered these two diphthongs; [ɔi] and [ey]. There’s a tendency for me to shift focus too early on the next phoneme while shortening diphthongs that I’m supposed to pronounce right now into short vowels.
