Quick Write 120311 "the Armstrong & Miller show”

On a very chilly rainy Saturday morning, I was laughing out loud nonstop in front of my PC. Yeah, literally LOL. When I was reading the latest article on http://linguistics-research-digest.blogspot.com/ this morning, I found a link as a reference to a language sample “this is someone” in the reported speech, and clicked on it. The link jumped to Youtube and played the episode of “Armstrong and Miller” skit. Please refer to Wikipedia’s explanation on the show:

Armstrong and Miller is a comedy sketch television show that aired between 1997 and 2001 featuring Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller, known together as Armstrong and Miller. Following a series on the Paramount Comedy Channel in 1997, a further two were made for Channel 4.The duo moved to BBC One in 2007 with The Armstrong and Miller Show.

Yes, those guys are so funny and hilarious that I was instantly thrown into whirling tides of laughter. I kept clicking Youtube recommendations and spent half an hour just laughing to death. If you haven’t seen ant y of those skits, please, please take your time checking it out. http://www.armstrongandmiller.co.uk/ My number one favorite so far is "Teacher 2” (If you migrate to my blog, you’ll see the clip. Learning by Teaching ).

Warning: Don’t watch skits in your office. Your laugh should be unstoppable and your colleague would think you’ve gone crazy, finally.
